today is i love my boyfriend day.

feeling a little bit lovey dovey and sappy teehee. below is the latest picture of us. taken at the putrajaya hot balloon festival. it was frikkin hot and i wasnt looking my best but i just love the picture so i decided to upload it anyway :P

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."

remember me.

hi,
i just got home from watching that movie, Remember Me.

it was a good movie.
dark and sweet at the same time.

got me thinking,
reeeeeaaaaal hard.

i cant even gather my thoughts right now.
too much to say, dont know where to begin.

the movie is about love and death in general.
and saying what matters.

parting w hazim when he sent me home hurt more than usual.

prolly cuz i realized how little i show my appreciation towards him.
i realized how lucky i am to have him in my life, especially after what happened between us.
forgiving is not weak. forgiving is the hardest thing to do.
and he managed to do that. hes doing exactly that.
and i am truly, from the bottom of my heart, grateful.

and it is important for me to tell him how i feel as often as i could. *mental note*

i love you, hazim.

its important for us to tell everyone that matters how we really feel about them.
dont wait.
because death is just around the corner.
we dont know when we will die.
you dont want to die without having the people that you love know that you love them, dont you?

so say it.
do it.

love.
forgive.
take the chance.

we have only one life.

live it.

and remember, only you know what you feel, unless you speak those words or show them how you really feel.

what will matter.

Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten
will pass to someone else.

Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations
and jealousies will finally disappear.
So too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.

It won't matter where you came from
or what side of the tracks you lived on at the end.
It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.

So what will matter?
How will the value of your days be measured?

What will matter is not what you bought
but what you built, not what you got but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success
but your significance.

What will matter is not what you learned
but what you taught.

What will matter is every act of integrity,
compassion, courage, or sacrifice
that enriched, empowered or encouraged others
to emulate your example.

What will matter is not your competence
but your character.

What will matter is not how many people you knew,
but how many will feel a lasting loss when your gone.

What will matter is not your memories
but the memories that live in those who loved you.

What will matter is how long you will be remembered,
by whom and for what.

Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident.
It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.

Choose to live a life that matters.

how to find the right savings account for you

hi.

ive been thinking about opening up another savings account for quite a while, and i did a little research yesterday.

first, what is a savings account and what is a current account?

savings account - Savings account enables all sorts of people to save money by keeping it in the bank. And the banks offer a flat interest rate for your balance amount.

current account - A current account is primarily opened by people for business purposes. Most banks don't offer any amount of interest on current accounts.

so definitely a savings account is more suitable for me.

more information about a savings account:
  • savings accounts offer easy access to your cash. you can make a withdrawal easily and quickly.
  • bank savings accounts grow your money. when you have money in a bank savings account, your money earns interest.
  • bank savings accounts offer a safe place to keep your money. if you carry the money around w you, you might lose it. if the money is under your mattress, your house could burn down or be robbed. however, is the money is in a bank savings account, your banking institution is responsible for the safekeeping of that money. if the bank burns down, your money wont go with it, and any reputable bank will not just lose your savings.
okay. i want to save. NOW. how to find the right savings account for me?

i surfed online and checked out quite a number of banks and did a comparison. after all, everyone wants a bank that has a minimized fees and maximum return LOL (as if thats possible)

below is the comparison table, i know its better if the fees were compared too but i totally forgot about it and kinda lazy to add them haha sorry :P some of the banks were not listed in the list cuz they only give interests for savings up to RM 10,000. and since im starting out in a very very small scale, like RM 200 per month (i already have an ASB account btw, this is just another attempt to save money), so i only checked out the ones that give interests for lower amount of money.

i have yet to consult my dad on this, he was very tired yesterday so i didnt want to bug him. my personal preference is the RHB Bank. and the fact the office is here in KLCC, kinda draws me to save in the bank more.

anyway, if you have any comments, or suggestions please dont hesitate to let me know. i am very very clueless about banking, investments and stuff :P

a funny story.

I just got this story through bbm from a friend of mine and it certainly made me laugh out loud.
Enjoy ;)

A woman decides to have a facelift for her 50th birthday. She spends $15,000 and feels pretty good about the results. On her way home, she stops at a newsstand to buy a newspaper. Before leaving, she says to the clerk, 'I hope you don't mind my asking, but how old do you think I am?' 'About 32,' is the reply.'Nope! I'm exactly 50,' the woman says happily.A little while later she goes into McDonald's and asks the counter girl the very same question. The girl replies, 'I'd guess about 29.'The woman replies with a big smile, 'Nope, I'm 50.'Now she's feeling really good about herself. She stops in a drug store on her way down the street. She goes up to the counter to get some mints and asks the clerk this burning question. The clerk responds, 'Oh, I'd say 30.'Again she proudly responds, 'I'm 50, but thank you!'While waiting for the bus to go home, she asks an old man waiting next to her the same question. He replies, 'Lady, I'm 78 and my eyesight is going. Although, when I was young there was a sure-fire way to tell how old a woman was.It sounds very forward, but it requires you to let me put my hands under your bra. Then, and only then can I tell you EXACTLY how old you are.'They wait in silence on the empty street until her curiosity gets the best of her.She finally blurts out, 'What the hell, go ahead.'He slips both of his hands under her blouse and begins to feel around very slowly and carefully. He bounces and weighs each breast and he gently pinches each nipple. He pushes her breasts together and rubs them against each other. After a couple of minutes of this, she says, 'Okay, okay ... how old am I?' He completes one last squeeze of her breasts, removes his hands, and says, 'Madam, you are 50.'Stunned and amazed, the woman says, 'That was incredible, how could you tell?'The old man says, 'Promise you won't get mad?''I promise I won't,' she says.'I was behind you at McDonalds.

the way i am.

This is the good side of me, the one that I want to remember. And the one that I also want you to remember.

I am hopeful.

I always believe, and will never stop believing that I will reach the finish line one day. I will have a successful career while holding a respectable position somewhere in the corporate ladder. I will drive my dream car. I will be thin and gorgeous and can wear any type of clothing I want. I will be in a happy relationship. I will be healthy, always. And the list goes on.

2. II am optimistic.

Despite of the challenges / hurdles / roadblocks faced and I know I will face in the future; I won’t stop wanting the things that I want. I will keep on believing in the bright future. I CAN.

3. II stand up for what I believe in.

I believe if you want it bad enough, and if you put enough effort into the things that you do, nothing is impossible.

And don’t let the bad things affect you. Don’t stop. Focus on the big picture. And remember, learn to write your hurts in the sand, and to carve your benefits in stone. Don’t get what I’m saying? Read this story – Sand and Stone and I hope it will change your perspective of life.

4. II expect failure along the way.

I know what I a capable of and I am aware of how far-fetched some of my dreams are. Hence I expect failures along the way. I am not perfect, and this is not the perfect / ideal world that we’re living in. Come on, own up to your self worth, and expect failure.

5. II whine.

I don’t keep things inside. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I guess my friends would know, and the people who read my blog and my tweets should know. I express my feelings, I don’t keep them inside. And once I do, I let go. You have to let go. And talking it out helps. Really.

6. II admit life is not easy.

Last but not least, I would like to share The Mountain Story – “Your life is not a coincidence. It’s a reflection of you.”

p/s: I always tell people that I am a true Liverpool fan. Cuz I'm hopeful and optimistic. And maybe stupid. LOL

i dont wanna play that part.

worst day ever.

work
ive been working my ass off for this particular project despite the fact that its out of my scope. after 3 months, just found out that ive been working w the best actress in this company. apparently the higher management didnt agree w the method used, and actress pretended as if she wasnt aware of the whole situation and told everyone that she wasnt aware and let me bite the bullet on my own. yeah, it took me 3 months to detect an actress, i can be that dense sometimes. and yes, im a loser.

love
i got dumped today.

friends
tonight is one of my BFFs hen night.

life
ive realised that im NOT the only captain of my ship. it doesnt work that way. other people do have control of some part of my destiny. and how matter how hard ive tried to convince them, (beg, cry, choke, hit, etc - believe me ive tried them all) it will not work if they are not willing to change their minds.

money
im broke. no, im not being overly dramatic. and in my effort to save some money, i park my car at an outdoor parking lot these days. and it rains every day, right when the clock turns 5pm.

so?
i whine.

its the only thing i can do (for now, at this point of time while waiting for the rain to subside so i can go to my car and rush to the hen do), innit?

Youre the only one I wish I could forget
The only one Id love to not forgive
And though you break my heart, youre the only one
And though there are times when I hate you
Cause I cant erase
The times that you hurt me
And put tears on my face
And even now while I hate you
It pains me to say
I know Ill be there at the end of the day.

cakes. *with comments worth reading*

yup, this post is about cakes. birthday cakes, to be exact. birthday cakes for kids, to be more accurate.

heck, i couldve just written birthday cakes for kids as the title then you wont have to waste like 3 seconds, or maybe 2, reading the above line. maybe 5 seconds, including this one.

anyway.

yesterday was my baby brother's 9th birthday. we had a simple celebration since the whole set of my family wasnt home. we had a chocolate moist cake from baker's cottage (small), sang the birthday song for like 15 times (he likes blowing candles soooooooooooo much), blew horns, wear party hats, yadda yadda. and thats not the real celebration, mind. LOL

so im desperately looking for a birthday cake (NOT cupcakes, puh-leeeezz) that could have animals on it. horses would be great, as the kid LOOOOOVVVEESSSS horses to death. so ive been googling custom made birthday cakes that i dont know, could be made to the shape of a horse's head, have picture(s) of horse(s) on it or something.

and below are some of the things that i like:

thomas and friends
dibo the gift dragon
horses on cupcakes
princess jasmine
ariel, the little mermaid
butterfly themed
zoo animals
okay i kinda got a little bit distracted there, posting girly cakes pulak LOL sorry

dolphin
circus animals and clowns
princess (i want!)
elephant
elmo
beach girl (i want this one too!)
dude riding an eaeroplane
pocoyo
jet

from www.specialcakes.net
train
cookie monster
bob the builder

so there. hungry yet? :P

oh wait, while googling birthday cakes, i stumbled upon this.

*drooooooooollllll*

okay back to the topic at hand. my brother's birthday cake. i couldnt decide. none of these cakes are cute enough for my brother. hmm.

btw, if you know any other websites that i can check out, please let me know. thanks <3
